DJ CLAK is back with a new 90's Throwback WESTCOAST GANGSTER MIXTAPE, his first release since a bunch of mash up mixtapes.

The Pistol Whip Mixtape kicks off with a straight, balanced shot of G-Funk.

Readers here will remember that Clak is a block favorite.
The Berlin DJ comes with his signature charm and is in just about everything he touches.

On the other side of the coin, it’s exactly this unpredictability and brevity that keeps the tracklist on its toes.

A Mixtape never outstays its welcome, and it’s a little sad to see it go so soon when it wraps on a note of combined humor and poignancy.

In many ways, DJ CLAK throws out the rulebook on mixtape branding and, ironically, that has become part of his brand.

It’s a lot of fun, but it also says something interesting about Clak’s outsider reputation.

He frequently remarks in his mixtape that his style is not a popular one, but he sticks with it anyway because it’s what makes him who he is.
As the DJ says at the start of the mixtape, “feel it,” and every day is a chance to make history.

Pistol Whip is dedicated to Justo Faison & Iain McNee & pays homage to TapeKingz.
